Tom Hardy as Harvey Bullock in The Dark Knight... →
I love this rumour. I had a feeling Hardy would be playing some kind of tough-as-nails cop brought in to investigate the events of TDK but this never occurred to me. It sounds perfect though. Please be true, please be true.

Batman 3 gets an official title: The Dark Knight... →
The ball is finally fucking rolling on this bad boy. Glad about The Riddler news (though I’d be happy to see him show up in a Scarecrow in TDK-esque cameo with Mr. Rees as The Riddler).
Don’t know how I feel about the title, it’s okay but part of me wishes they used something a bit bolder. The Caped Crusader, The Rise of Batman, Batman Rises, even something like The Dark Knight...
Bruce Campbell to marry a couple during Evil Dead... →
This is the greatest thing ever. Screw Star Wars weddings, this is the man you want!

Finished reading Never Let Me Go
What a beautiful book that is. Very excited for the film! What do I read next -
Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad
Crime and Punishment by Dostoyevsky
I’m not usually one to read heavy classics like this but I feel like I should probably try and broaden my mind a bit. Knowledge of literature isn’t exactly my strong point. I’m a Chuck Palahniuk and Elmore Leonard kind of guy.

Was tempted to watch Match Point again...
but I’ve decided to push my Woody Allen marathon into new territory by watching Husbands and Wives for the first time. Woody does cinema-vérité? Count me in.

I think I’m like 1 in 1000000 people who enjoy this movie.
I just watched it last night and loved it. I wasn’t sure at first but the deeper I got into it the more I enjoyed it. One of Allen’s best films imo, from the 2000s at least. I don’t think we’re alone, the critics loved it and it was even nominated for a Best Screenplay Oscar....

You guys, I just watched Match Point
That movie is incredible. The ending - WOW. Woody Allen can still bring the awesome when he wants to. Oh and Scarlett - you beautiful, beautiful vixen.
It's fucking bullshit that it's perfectly fine for...
Hollywood you hypocritical bitch.

Typing really fast while listening to The Social...
jujubarnes replied to your post: jujubarnes replied to your post:Oh okay, so I was…
It’s basically one of those hit or miss movies.
It’s definitely no Suspiria.
jujubarnes replied to your post:Oh okay, so I was reading one of your reviews last night and you genuinely enjoyed Paranormal Activity (the first one)? Really? I just…I just don’t know. I was so /bothered/ by the male character and the ridiculous logic they placed behind everything.
God, I don’t know it’s just, in my opinion, there was /no/ scare effect in Paranormal. I sat there just impatiently...

Finally watched Iron Man 2
Thought it was great fun. Better than the original (which seems to get better the more I watch it).
The biggest criticism I keep reading is that it feels like a 2 hour advert for The Avengers which I don’t understand at all. There are a load of Avengers teases (the Captain America shield gag being my favourite) but it never once ceases to be a movie about Tony Stark and Iron Man.
For the...

Spielberg set to direct 'Robopocalypse' →
This sounds incredible. Absoluteley incredible. The interest in Spielberg has declined massively over the past few years so it’s going to be great to see him return with a massive bang next year (With Tintin and War Horse) then follow that up with this sci-fi epic. This is the most exciting announcement I’ve heard in a while.

The horror, the horror...
Just watched the theatrical cut of Apocalypse Now for the first time. I definitely prefer it to the redux version, it’s generally so much tighter and I didn’t miss any of the added scenes at all. Either way that film is such a masterpiece. I’m in awe of Coppola. Apocalypse Now is his greatest achievement, such a unique cinematic expeirence. It looks absolutely fantastic on...

AND to any talented gif makers...
When its online or on DVD, someone PLEASE make me one of Mark Zuckerberg’s shrug in the scene where he talks to the Winklevi in the bike room. That shrug is my entire life I swear to god.

Another amazing moment in The Social Network
When Mark is on the phone to Sean at the end and the lights in the Facebook headquarters are all being shut off behind him. So so good.

It actually takes the piss
that us outside of the US have to wait until like January or February to see films such as Never Let Me Go, Black Swan, 127 Hours, Hereafter and True Grit while they’re either already out or being released in the US over November and December. And they wonder why there’s movie piracy…

The final scene of The Social Network...
Just as The Beatles’ Baby You’re a Rich Man kicks in - absolute perfection. Gets me every single time.
Just saw The Social Network for the second time.
Just as good, if not better, than the first time around.
There are many days where I feel like Mark Zuckerberg (minus the computer genius)
I’m slightly drunk after spending 3 hours in the bar at the cinema with the guys from Uni. Ready to hit the hay.
Happy to find that Iron Man 2 and the Alien Anthology blu rays have been posted which means I’m likely to get them this weekend,...
